Is Trokeo really free?
Yes. Trokeo is free for everyone — no commission, no listing fees, no card required. If we ever introduce optional paid features in the future, they'd be clearly priced and opt-in, and existing users would be notified at least 30 days in advance.
How does the chat translation work?
When you message a neighbour, Trokeo translates between the language you've set in the app and theirs. Each translated message carries a small flag chip you can tap to reveal the original wording — useful when the price, date or address really matters.
How do I install Trokeo on my phone?
Open trokeo.app in Safari (iOS) or Chrome (Android), tap the share / menu icon, and choose ‘Add to Home Screen' / ‘Install app'. You get a full-screen app icon with no app store needed.
Are users verified?
Every member must confirm an email address before they can post a listing or send a message — that stops anonymous bots and throwaway accounts. We do not check government ID, passports, DNI or NIE at signup. A separate identity-verified badge may be offered in a future release; until then, make your own judgement about who you work with, the same as you would with a Wallapop or Nextdoor introduction.
What if a neighbour behaves badly?
Report any listing or conversation from the ‘…' menu on it. Reports go straight to the moderation queue and we aim to triage within one business day.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Settings → Delete account anonymises your profile and removes messages. We keep activity logs for accounting/legal reasons (Spanish law) but with all identifying data scrubbed.
